In the Philippines, diesel prices have seen a notable decrease, providing some cost relief for motorists, while gasoline and kerosene prices have risen. On Tuesday, major fuel retailers reduced diesel prices by P1.30 per liter. However, gasoline prices increased by approximately P1.90 to P1.93 per liter, and kerosene saw a significant hike of P3.30 per liter.
This latest adjustment follows a previous substantial decline in diesel prices last week, when they dropped by P7.60 per liter. During that period, both gasoline and kerosene prices had also decreased, albeit to a lesser extent, by 30 centavos and P5.90 per liter, respectively.
While the decrease in diesel prices offers some financial respite for those relying on this fuel type, individuals and businesses using gasoline and kerosene must now contend with higher expenses. These changes in fuel prices reflect ongoing fluctuations in the energy market, impacting consumers across the nation.
