During an official visit to Male, Saudi Minister of State Prince Dr. Mansour bin Mutaib bin Abdulaziz met with the President of the Maldives, Dr. Mohamed Muizzu. The visit was part of the celebrations marking the 61st anniversary of Maldivian independence, underscoring the strong bilateral ties between Saudi Arabia and the Maldives.
Prince Mansour’s participation in the independence anniversary events highlighted the close relationship between the two nations. His visit was a symbolic gesture of support and cooperation, reflecting the longstanding diplomatic and cultural ties that have been nurtured over the years.
Upon his arrival at Velana International Airport, Prince Mansour was warmly received by several key Maldivian officials. Dr. Abdulla Khaleel, the Maldivian Foreign Minister, was among those welcoming the Saudi minister, along with Mohamed Naseer, the Principal Secretary to the President on Foreign Relations, and Yahya Hassan Al-Qahtani, the Saudi Ambassador to the Maldives.
The meeting between Prince Mansour and President Muizzu served as an opportunity to discuss further strengthening the collaboration between their countries.
